How much does travel insurance cost for 3 months?

Author: Hi guys. I’m planning a trip to los angeles in June 2010 for 3 months and im trying to calculate the amount of money i’ll need.
The problem is, i have no idea how this travel insurance stuff works,so how much would travel insurance cost me for this period?
Any help appreciated, thanks.

Last time I’ve purchased it from Travel Guard I paid $46 for one week. How much it will cost for 3 months? I am afraid it will cost a lot more.
